Alex Angelov
Founding Partner
Alex Angelov is the Founding Partner of Calistix Capital. From 2017 to 2023, he served as CEO and board member of Bagwell Supply Ltd., one of Canada’s leading suppliers of bulk bags and industrial packaging solutions. During his tenure, he led the transition of the founder into retirement and implemented a range of strategic initiatives, including expanding office and warehouse operations across Canada, diversifying the company’s global supplier base, and modernizing nearly all internal systems.
Following the successful exit of Bagwell, Alex has remained actively involved in the search fund community as an investor, board director, and advisor to new searchers.
Prior to founding Calistix Capital, he worked at Onex Corporation, Canada’s largest private equity firm, and at Houlihan Lokey, the global leader in financial restructuring.
Alex holds a Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, where he graduated with Distinction as an Ivey Scholar.
